Create a Quote

This article covers creating an inspector account just for giving quotes.

Creating a Quote in ISN is an easy task to accomplish, and the following steps will help you get started!

When creating an inspection quote in your ISN, the process will be exactly the same as booking/scheduling a new order EXCEPT the order process will not be completed, and the quote will remain as an incomplete order.

First a new user will need to be created, and we recommend naming that user Quote (or a name that will best fit your business needs). This new user will also need to be designated as an inspector since this is the inspector that will be selected when creating a quote.

Creating the User - Navigate to Admin -- User Administration

When the User Administration page appears click the green Add User button, Name the User whatever you wish to name it by (in this case we will name the user Quotes), make the user an Inspector and scroll down to the bottom of the page to click the green Save New User button.

Now that you have created this new user/inspector, you can now create a Quote! Navigate to the Order form, enter all information of the order as is your normal practice, and when you select the inspector for the order, you will now select Quotes, which will be the indicator that this order is a Quote!

Remember all information for the order will be filled out, however you will NOT click on the "Schedule" this inspection from the Review tab!

To retrieve this quote at a later time or to manually send an email template to the client and/or agent, navigate to Inspections -- View Unscheduled Inspections. From there you will see the Quotes listed under the Inspector column.

To turn the Quote into a scheduled order, click on the pencil icon to the left on the grid, make any changes (if needed), navigate to the Review tab and click on Complete This Inspection!
