Some of our inspectors love the look of a longer date in their email templates (we understand; we use them a lot in the ISN). The Email Template and Agreement editor allows you to select two styles of dates: the short form, and the long form.
Date in the Short Form: 12/17/2009 Date in the Long Form: Thursday, December 17th, 2009
To use the "short form" of the dates use the following replacement values:
%inspectiondate%
-and-
%date%
To use the "long form" of the dates use the following replacement values:
%inspectiondate-long%
-and-
%date-long%
Question: what is the difference between %inspectiondate% and %date%.
Answer: The %date% is "now" and the %inspectiondate% is the date the inspection is scheduled for.
