The Repair Estimate Report from Porch brings a new level of transparency to the home inspection process, through detailed cost estimates that are

backed by The Porch Promise. 

The Repair Estimate Report (RER) uses the details from your inspection to create cost estimates that agents and clients can use during their negotiation process. 

  • After you've completed your inspection, agents or buyers purchase the RER through you. 
  • From there, Porch will deliver an itemized list of estimates based on your inspection report, for the buyer and agent to review. 
  • Agents can then generate a repair request addendum with the estimates, saving hours of work. 

By providing your agent or client with a Repair Estimate Report, you’ll be making the post-inspection portion of the buying process that much simpler, while earning additional revenue! 

Who do I market it to?  

You decide if you want to market the RER to your agent or your client. We recommend marketing to agents, because the RER can help them better utilize your inspection report to negotiate more efficiently! 

When will the Repair Estimate Report be received?
RER's take 48 hours to generate and send to the agent (or client) and back to the originating ISN.
The recipient may order a rush from you directly, at cost determined by you during the wizard setup or on the RER settings page, or rush the report with Porch directly in the tee-up email they receive.

How do I sell it? 

When you add an RER to an order, ISN will charge you $40. We will also add an $80 RER fee to the purchaser’s order invoice--leaving you with a $40 profit! This fee is customizable, so it’s up to you how much you charge for the RERs you sell. 

If you aren’t interested in selling the RER, you can offer a free sample of the RER instead. Just choose the Sample Report option during setup. When you create an inspection order and add the free RER Sample, Porch will send your agent or client the sample RER via email, and give them the option to purchase the full report if they decide it’s something they’d like. If any of your agents or clients purchase the RER directly from Porch after receiving the sample, you’ll earn a $20 commission! Commission for RER upsells will be paid twice yearly beginning in December 2019. 

To activate the RER in your ISN, navigate to Settings -- Office Settings -- Working with Other Applications -- Porch Repair Estimate Report 

Then click the Help me set it up button and our wizard will guide you through setting it up!
