If you have email accounts hosted through Gmail or G Suite, you will need to use SMTP settings in ISN to prevent your emails from bouncing and to ensure they are received by your clients and agents.

To add your SMTP settings you will need to know the following:

1) Your email address or email addresses

2) The password for your email addresses

First, in ISN navigate to Settings  -- SMTP Settings  and click Add SMTP Setting

  • Use your Gmail Address in the Email Address box.
  • In the server box, put smtp.gmail.com
  • Add your username and password that you use to login to your Gmail Account.
  • Port: 465
  • Then CHECK the SSL box

Allow Less Secure Apps (If you know you have 2 Factor Authentication enabled, you can skip down to that step)

Gmail will also require you to enable less secure apps and unlock your account.
Here's how you do that:

  1. Go to https://accounts.google.com/ and login to your Google account.

2. Click on Sign-in & security

3. Click on Connected apps & sites

4. Click the toggle so that "Allow less secure apps" is "ON"

Google will automatically save this for you, there is no SAVE button and you can skip down to Unlock Your Account.

Add App Password for 2 Factor Authentication

If you are not able to find Allow less secure apps because you have 2 Factor Authentication (2FA) enabled, you'll need to take the following steps.

Visit your App passwords page.

At the bottom, click Select app and choose Other (Custom name).

Enter "ISN SMTP".

Select Generate.

Select and copy the 16 character code in the yellow bar and paste it into the password field of the SMTP setting, in your ISN, you created above.

Select Done in your Google account, and Save the SMTP setting in your ISN..

Unlock Your Account

The last step is to unlock your account.
Just go to this link while logged into your Gmail account and click the Continue button:
